Elements
- 1/two cup sugar

Instructions
- In a tiny bowl, combine the sugars, flour and spices set aside. In a massive bowl, toss apples with lemon juice. Add sugar mixture toss to coat.

Way also significantly ginger and nutmeg in this recipe. I even had much more apples than known as for and it was overpowering. Reduce back the cinnamon, and just include a pinch of the nutmeg and ginger. Allow the apples be the hero.
I consider the recipe is tasty. I noticed some of you located it soupy. Not that I am an skilled but I consider some apples have far more juice in them then others. Perhaps if you are utilizing an extra juicy apple you will have to add a small much more flour. Just a suggestion.
I have been baking this recipe for many years and adore to experiment with a mixture of different apples when offered right here in Namibia. The only time I have been disappointed is when I did not bake it prolonged enough. Now I often verify for the clear syrup to bubble out of the vent before removing from the oven. This apple pie is has amazing taste. The only purpose I didn’t give it 5 stars was the reality it turned out a minor soupy and the apples stayed actually company even so simply because it tasted so very good everybody loved it. Up coming time I make it I’m going to try cooking the apple mixture a little just before putting it into pie shell to consider to thicken it up a bit and soften apples a little. This recipe is absolutely a keeper!

I left am earlier overview and forgot to add that I halved the white and brown sugar. My household and I have wellness problems so I had to tone the sugar down but it was soooooo good! Thanks for sharing

Everybody i shared the pie with agreed, it was the Best.. i loved the story about your granny. that was just the very best. i will forever believe of her everytime i make this pie - which will be usually.
Followed the recipe to the letter. Pie looked fantastic on the outdoors, but was a soupy mess on the within. I will not make this once more and I do not suggest it.
Very tasty! Had some liquid inside but was delicious otherwise.
